Covers & Washers
Covers and washers are crucial components in fastening and assembly, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics in various projects.
Covers serve to conceal fasteners, providing a clean and finished appearance. They are often used in furniture, cabinetry, and automotive applications, where visual appeal is important. Covers can also protect fasteners from environmental elements, extending their lifespan.
Washers are placed between the fastener and the surface to distribute load, prevent damage, and reduce the risk of loosening. Available in materials like steel, rubber, and plastic, washers come in different types, such as flat, split, and locking, each serving specific purposes. Flat washers distribute pressure, split washers provide tension to prevent loosening, and locking washers ensure secure fastening in dynamic environments.
Together, covers and washers enhance the performance and longevity of fastened assemblies, ensuring both structural integrity and an appealing finish in diverse applications.

Dowty Type Washers
Used mainly with drive screw nails and spring head roofing nails for attaching corrugated roofing sheets to wooden purlins. The washer provides a watertight seal when used correctly.

Corrugated Sheet Fixings
Designed for fixing plastic corrugated sheets to timber. The hinged cover cap provides a tight seal to prevent water ingress. Spacers should be used with strap caps when fitting corrugated sheeting to prevent splitting of the sheets as the fixings are tightened.

Sela Washers & Covers
Used when securing roofing sheets to create a watertight seal. When using spring head roofing nails just a washer (SW) is required. If using hook bolts you will also require a Sela Cover (SC) to cover the washer and nut to complete the seal.
