Hammers

Hammers are essential tools across construction, metalworking, and woodworking, delivering focused impact for tasks like driving nails and breaking materials. Common types include the claw hammer, with a flat face and curved claw for carpentry and repairs; the sledgehammer, used for demolition and breaking concrete; and the ball peen hammer, ideal for metalworking with its flat face and rounded peen. Mallets, made from materials like rubber or wood, provide softer blows for assembling furniture and driving chisels, while tack hammers are lightweight for driving small nails in upholstery.

Selecting the right hammer involves considering the task, weight, balance, and handle design to ensure comfort and effectiveness.

Claw Hammers

A claw hammer is essential for carpentry and repairs, featuring a flat face for driving nails and a curved claw for removal.

Cross Pein Hammers

Cross pein hammers have a flat face and a wedge-shaped pein for shaping metal and starting nails.

Brick Hammers

Used in masonry for cutting and shaping bricks and stones. They feature a dual-sided head with a flat face for striking and a chisel-like blade for scoring and splitting bricks.

Lump Hammers

Lump hammers, also known as club hammers, are compact, heavy-duty tools used for tasks requiring substantial force in demolition and construction.

Sledge Hammers

Their design makes them ideal for tasks such as driving stakes, breaking up concrete slabs, and performing demolition work.
